Youth Empowerment and Skills Centre (YES Centre) is a not for profit at-risks youth centred and family-focused organization that originated as an community grassroots through many uplifting projects that challenge barrierks. It continue to support over 5,000 youths, families and individuals annually.

For the last 15 years our vision has been to strive to be a welcoming and inclusive environment that challenges to build stronger communities together and break barriers through empowering and providing barrier-free educational activities, leisure, and skills development programs to at-risk teenagers, youths , immigrants and refugee children with appropriate skills, awareness, knowledge and experience for a better citizen while supporting parents low income families

YES Centre in ACTION

While COVID-19 had foreced many to shut their doors inculding schools or families losing their only income and jobs, youht come to face many challenges. Many faced obsticles due to their famileies financial, specifically those in low income, not knowing where to get their next meal or afford their kids' needs.

With the generiosty of many Calgarians, our collective grassroot efforts began from personal intiatives to neighbours and business communnity coming together to answer the question of, " How can we help? with many volunteers stepped up from all walk of life and occupations.

In what seemed impossible, we accomplished the Albertan opportunity and saw first hand the Calgains community soirit. We were able to gave out an average of 300 boxes of free Pizza, over 490 donated Bikes, and over 375 donated backpacks.

For kids during pandemic: Not having a device is like not having a pencil at school

Thank you United Way donating toys toward our #CalgaryChristmasKindness. This Cmapign had helped 50 less Fortunate Low-Income Families to have a toy under Christmas Tree for their child.
